This Stangl bird is number #3589 of the Stangl line of bird figurines. The Stangl Pottery Company of Flemington, New Jersey made this line of ceramic birds starting in the early 1940s and this bird was made from 1941 until 1978. It stands about 3-1/2" high and has the Stangl mark on the bottom. It also has the decorator's initials "MW" on it, indicating that it was decorated by Margaret Walsch. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small flake off the surface near the bottom edge. I have reduced the price to reflect this small flaw. I am asking $50.00 plus shipping and insurance.
